In the food and beverage industry, the most important thing is that the food is safe. Food safety is paramount. So that’s the number one thing that we really focus on. Hixson is a leading design and engineering firm and we’ve been working for over 75 years and 60 of those years serving in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.

We’re process engineers, we’re architects, we’re designers, helping solve our client’s problems. Here at Hixson, we are not generalists. We are specialists and we specialize in focus on food and beverage. We’re what we call GMP. The GMP is about 80% of our business. So we work in all of the different food and beverage sectors across the whole spectrum. We provide a great working environment.

Most of our associates tend to stay for a significant portion of their careers, and that benefits the client because of those two different things coming together that we have focused, specialized experience that we’re able to build year over year and we have the same people applying that experience so that our associates get to know client organizations very well.

So the continuous improvement mindset we have here at Hixson is paramount to handing down that knowledge from one generation to the other. We’re always looking for the right solutions, the best solutions, the food safest solutions, if you will.

We are a fully integrated design firm. We have a total of 20 different technical departments. We can provide really a full level of support from start to finish. Our clients come to Hixson ’cause they trust us.

We develop relationships over a number of years. Some of our clients we’ve worked with for 30, 40 years but they come to Hixson because of the trust that they have in us because the advocacy position that we hold for them. They know that when they come here they’re going to get the excellence and expertise that we offer, delivering food and beverage projects.
