Great Place to Work: Taking Pride in Our Accomplishments

Recently, Hixson announced that we have been named as a Great Place to Work® by the Great Place to Work Institute. This award was received based on the input on a confidential survey of Hixson’s 130 associates. 

In the survey, 98% of Hixson’s associates agreed with the statement that, “when I look at what we accomplish, I feel sense of pride.”

Whether taking a bus filled with Hixson associates to see a completed project on-site, or giving a project team a shout-out at a Hixson Towne Meeting, we like to celebrate successes both big and small here at our firm. However, taking pride in our work is not something that we do just for a feel-good ego boost (although that is a nice side benefit). We believe it is a critical element for associate satisfaction. In fact, celebrating successes can lead to a number of positive outcomes, including improved confidence, increased motivation and engagement, higher productivity, stronger interpersonal connections, and more.
