Burke – Seed Strategy
For growth acceleration firm Seed Strategy, the concept of a “treehouse” has long represented a stage for the sort of boundless creativity, close collaboration and purposeful play that fires breakthrough innovation. Today, that metaphor is realized in downtown Cincinnati with Seed Strategy’s new headquarters, a modern, treehouse-inspired home located on the seven-acre campus of Seed’s parent organization, Burke Inc.
The new building is designed to serve as a sanctuary for the creative spirit, with spaces suited to Seed’s personality, workflow and the unique needs of the firm’s clients. Timber pillars rise up from the ground outside a transparent first floor and fan out to support the cantilevered upper story. The wings of the v-shaped, two-story structure extend outward toward Burke’s LEED-certified headquarters, welcoming clients and visitors with open arms. Within, spacious walkways on the first floor flow past individual offices and into purpose-built workspaces, meeting rooms, and photo, video and sound studios; each designed with a distinct look and feel that fosters the essential give-and-take of idea development. The more formal approach of the second floor allows for client presentations, while three observation decks on this floor provide employees and visitors the ability to step outside and let their minds wander and refresh.
