Since 2016, Hixson has provided architecture, engineering, and process design services to Abbott Nutrition for multiple facilities nationwide. That work included the Phase 2 renovations at Abbott’s Tipp City, Ohio, facility, where Hixson’s design helped Abbott earn Food Engineering’s Food Plant of the Year recognition. When Abbott chose to further expand the Tipp City facility, they once again relied on Hixson to design the $400 million renovation and expansion project. This latest effort added a third aseptic processing line, expanded utilities, shipping, and employee spaces, and enhanced wastewater pretreatment.
