Faced with a 1950s-era building and an aging infrastructure, Unither Pharmaceuticals, a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), tapped Hixson to help upgrade and expand their manufacturing facility in Rochester, New York. When constructed, the nearly 44,000 SF first level will accommodate a new Blow, Fill, and Seal (BFS) pharmaceutical manufacturing line, with strategic space allocated for two additional BFS lines to be added in future phases. Operational efficiency is also prioritized on this level, with space included for circulation, warehouse, and hazardous material storage. The second level is primed for future growth with spaces planned for future lab and office use, plus a building and process utility mezzanine.
