Hixson Teacher of the Year Announced
Congratulations to Kim Troxell, who has been named the Hixson Teacher of the Year for the 2025-2026 school year!
A Kindergarten teacher at Williamsburg Elementary School in Williamsburg, Ohio, Mrs. Troxell taught the grandson of Hixson BIM Manager Brenda Bettac this past year. In her nomination, Brenda noted that “Mrs. Troxell has made my grandson’s kindergarten year an amazing time of learning and fun, which has started his school years off in the most positive way we could hope for. His confidence has blossomed over this year because of the positive learning environment she has created in her classroom.”
Hixson launched its Teacher of the Year initiative in 1991 to recognize the outstanding work educators do to shape the next generation. Through this program, associates can nominate the K–12 teachers of their children or grandchildren, and all honorees receive a monetary gift and a commemorative plaque.
Since its inception, the program has awarded nearly $160,000 to outstanding local teachers in our community.
