Bidding Farewell to Beth Robinson

Today, it is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Hixson Vice President and Director of Continuous Improvement, Beth Robinson.

Beth began her Hixson career as the firm’s first Continuous Improvement Coordinator in October 1994. As her career here unfolded, she was instrumental in building our associates’ understanding and implementation of Continuous Improvement concepts and tactics…all of which helped make our firm, and our projects, more efficient, more innovative, and ultimately, more profitable. In addition, as an Officer in our firm, Beth has spearheaded many strategic initiatives that have helped shape Hixson as a top architecture and engineering firm and a Great Place to Work.

At Beth’s 25th anniversary with Hixson in 2019, we asked her to share her thoughts on achieving that important milestone. At the time, she told us, “Being given the opportunity to be a ‘first’ has been very defining for me…The first employee to serve in a continuous improvement role and to be in on the ground floor in its development, the first to lead our Partners in Education Program, and the first female to be appointed Vice President in the history of the firm.  I’ve enjoyed the challenge of blazing trails and feel truly blessed to have been planted here, in this place, and encouraged to grow in the direction of my passions. It’s been an awesome ride and I’m forever grateful!”

Hixson will forever be grateful to Beth for all of her many contributions to our firm, and wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement!
